It became a named storm on the official opening day of the East Pacific hurricane season! Still not going to affect Mexico, and it won't last very long. More info on Dr. Jeff Masters' "WunderBlog": http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=2093. He also notes that Aletta ends the world's longest tropical storm-free period in 70 years. No rain is likely for us anytime soon, but we could get a few high clouds streaming overhead from Aletta's outflow. |
