Bethany and I are having a very full spring. The weather here in our mountain home in Concrete,WA has been cold but we have managed to get several motorcycle rides in during a recent sunny period. Bethany got her motorcycle endorsement last fall so she is having a blast on her own bike. We also put on a Cinco de Mayo dinner for 24 people. Bethany made jalapeno poppers, ceviche, Azteca soup, pollo veracruz, beans and rice, and flan. I was the bartender and made margaritas from scratch. (Too many people here use a mix). We also showed the video "Mexico, The Royal Tour". This Saturday night, Bethany is doing a benefit concert and she just finished facilitating a 6 week book group on the book we read this winter in the Sunday morning group at Casa Luz, "The Untethered Soul". As for me, I have several building projects going on trying to make enough money to come back to LaManz in November. Now it seems, all our money we make goes in our gas tanks. |
