I finally got back from my Dr. visit at the IMSS clinic and finshed up my preparations around the house. (BTW, the road to Melaque wasn't too bad this morning, just had to watch for lots of rocks and puddles.)

Like Daniel posted already, it's heading a little farther north than last night's update, and is going to be a little weaker. Right now it's down to Cat 1. Looks like it's now supposed to kiss the coastline well north of Chamela near Cabo Corrientes, at a strength somewhere between Cat 1 and TS. Then it is supposed to bounce back to the SW more away from us.

I would say the point of closest approach to La Manz would be:
tonight around 9PM,
about 40 miles to our west,
as a Cat 1 hurricane,
on its way to its "costline kiss" to our north.

Since they say the hurricane-force winds extend out 35 miles from the center, we should miss out on those. We're definitely within the tropical-storm force wind radius tonight though (115 miles from the center.) Expect those winds to be hitting for several hours starting this afternoon.

The rainfall prediction has gone up since last night to 6-10 inches, so watch those steep streets and the arroyo! SOme of this rain migh drag out through Monday, since Bud is coming past for a more distant encore after the kiss.

PS, the "Voice of God" tower in the Jardin has us at Alert Level Orange. The Jardin looks like a used boat lot now.

More later, internet and power permitting...
