| I recall from an interview with the then-mayor about the new bridge (although I can find no exact reference in my archives)that it was "for pedestrians and bicycles only...and occasional access for emergency vehicles." Seems to me that he said the bridge was not structurally engineered for ongoing car and truck traffic. Anyone know for sure? |
