It was a HOT July, and the driest in my records. And this following the wettest June! Rain: Total for month: 1.02"/25.9mm Rainiest day: 0.32"/8.1mm on 7/15 YTD total (thru 7/31): 18.14"/461mm Temperature: Highest: 95.4F/35.2C on 7/30 Lowest: 78.4F/25.8C on 7/4, 7/14 Avg daily maximum: 92.6F/33.7C Avg daily minimum: 79.9F/26.6C Humidity: Highest: 85% on 7/4 Lowest: 58% on 7/4, 7/8, 7/28 Avg daily maximum: 81.5% Avg daily minimum: 62.8% Heat index: (approximate) Highest: 116F/47C on 7/7 Avg daily maximum: (under construction, but looks like around 110F) Records: (1) This was the driest July since record-keeping began in 2004. Previous record was 2.42"/61.5mm in July 2005, avg July rainfall 2004-2011 is 7.80"/198mm. (2) The Avg Daily Max Temp was the highest since record-keeping began in 2004. Previous record was 89.4F/31.9C in July 2004. Avg 2004-2011 is 87.45F/30.8C. (Keep in mind that the temperature readings took a step up in Sep 2011 when the measuring location moved from Deanna & Darwin's apartments up in the breezes above the church, down to my un-breezy and warmer backyard in the flats near the Jardin. Could be a 2-4 degree F difference on calm hot days(??))
