I checked out the usual spot in Calle Perula Sur uphill and around the bend from the Galleria: it's just as bad as after Jova (and after the heavy June rains), but this time the 5-6 ft deep canyon stops before turning the bend toward the Galleria. You could drive up as far as the Galleria if you like lots of fist- to head-sized sharp-edged rocks (that used to be in the canyon.)

Here are a couple shots I took after the heavy June rains. Today it's almost identical, maybe a little deeper:






The beach bar blocking the draining of the lagoon has been cut open this morning and a fast river of smelly dark tea-colored water is flooding out into the bay to mix with the lighter-colored arroyo waters. I hear the bar has been cut open once or twice already over the weekend, but the waves kept healing it back closed.

And the usual sewer manhole covers are gushing merrily for the first time this summer. Welcome back to the rainy season!
