What you're saying, Tim, is that LM sellers are often atypically motivated. That the "burden" of owning a house they no longer want is less than in many NOB situations, due to no monthly debt service, and due to lack of secure other places to park the proceeds.

Sounds perfectly sensible to me. I might add a hypothesis that many LM homes are second homes, and second home owners, as a group, are often in a better position to hunker down and wait out market downturns.

Here's another question: Why is there little fear in LM buying ejido land? My sources assure me that our ejido is responsible, fair and just, unlike some other ejidos. I have no reason to doubt that. But couldn't that change quickly with a change in ejido leadership, or community sentiment, or whatever?
