Added to that "motivation" (or lack) is the fact that as an owner of something, you make a decision each day to 'buy' it. If you own something that was worth 100 and it is now worth 50, if you keep it, you are 'buying' it for 50 that day. If you could sell it for 50 and take that $ and put it somewhere else that would be a better 'investment' than this thing you own, you would be motivated to do that. If the thought is, "I can buy this thing for 50 today........ man that is a good deal, I'll do it."
Of course, as that means that nothing happens. I found that the hard why in the 90's in Chico, when there were very few transactions and therefore, very few commissions.

Re the ejidon........... one has to put money in MX and many other countries with the thought that it could go away and it wouldn't ruin you. Having said that, I know that MX needs us gringos as tourists, investors and owners. They need to make things work and we will only tolerate so much confusion. Just look at Tennacita (sp). If LM and or most of MX was like that, there would be far fewer of us willing to bring our money down there.
