As a broker I have seen folks go thru the agony of selling at an actual loss or selling at a price that was lesser value than had existed at some time in the past. They act like one of their constitutional rights was violated........... it is my right that the value of my RE will always go up. People seem to be less so about stocks; they seem to accept the fact that prices go both ways more readily.

As an owner, I have also experienced selling at an actual loss or at a decreased price from the high point. I have had to have a heart-to-heart talk with myself, something to the effect "remember when you thought so-and-so was too emotional about selling at a loss". SELL FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH TODAY AND GET ON WITH IT.

As I understand, the LM market has seen this with the sale of the large place way up on the hill, the former Patches place, the house next to Elieene (sp)and others I can't recall.
