I have asked him several question over the years. He is on several boards too and always seems to answer questions when asked.

There is a link on his site that points to lots of the bus lines that are available in Mexico and some that serve the boarder too. Some of the timetables are in English too.

I know Brian ( dos metros) used to travel by bus to here from Arizona. But I would ask Rolly for his experience. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
