Also, (sorry if I'm repeating myself as I may have mentioned this before on this forum around St. Patrick's Day) there is a well written story entitled The Irish Soldiers of Mexico, by Michael Hogan, an Irish American who, at the time of publication, resided in Guadalajara. Its a well researched, sensitive though unsentimental account of Los San Patricios. I'm willing to lend my copy to any (local) book lover who promises to care for and return it.

Wouldn't it be grand if we had the Tom Berenger film, One Man's Hero, available for circulation in our village too? Or, have a semi-public showing, or a gathering where excerpts are read from the book?
