| I'd like pricing information too. Here on Lake Chapala from the village of Mezcala, one can hire a boat that will take 9 passengers for three hours for $250 pesos, plus a tip to the captain. That is for a boat ride to the Isla de Mezcala and back, with 90 minutes allowed to tour the island. It is the captain's perogative whether to return to the mainland and return or to wait on the island. I've compared that to the prices for boats from Barra and been appalled. They want like thousands of pesos for the same kind of ride. So maybe we will have to limit our boat trips to the mile-high lake. Or start buying lottery tickets. |
