September cooled down a little from August (yay!). It was a couple inches drier than average. If that 3.68" rainfall had not happened on the 28th, we would have just about tied the record for driest September with the 4.09" in 2004. So far this year, June was record wet, July was record dry, August was record wet, and September was almost record dry! Our YTD rainfall is already well above the average. Got to keep those manhole covers pouring!

YTD total (thru 9/30): 41.90"/1064mm (Annual avg for 2004-2011: 34.8"/884mm)

Avg daily maximum: 84.6%
Avg daily minimum: 68.3%

Heat index: (approximate)
Highest: 114F/45.6C on 9/4
Avg daily maximum: (under construction)

Records:
None: it's nice not to break records EVERY month!

(Keep in mind that the temperature readings took a step up in Sep 2011 when the measuring location moved from Deanna & Darwin's apartments up in the breezes above the church, down to my un-breezy and warmer backyard in the flats near the Jardin. Could be a 2-4 degree F difference on calm hot days(??))
