Hey Everyone,
The peace of La Manzanilla will only persist for 6 more days until I show up. In the mean time, here is what we woke up to today in Denver.
After this, Lyle and I walked to the neighborhood bakery for a sweet since Lyle reasoned (as any 9 year old would) that everyone deserves a "snow day" and "If I were in La Manzanilla and this happened, we would not have school!". I could not argue with that because when he was in the La Manzanilla school, it was usually let out when the wind blew and the sun shone. Thus, the home school session for today will be shortened until this skiff melts. More on the way, they say, tomorrow.
So, every car between our house and the bakery was swept clean with Lyle's gloved hands to make snow balls which he peppered me with. Especially on the way home when I had to carry the scones, turnovers, cookies and coffee while running.
