My experience on Friday was quite different than Ross. I actually had an appt. time: 10AM. I always get there early but this time showed up at 10:00 and had to wait for 45 minutes. I was applying for residencia, had 5 years on my FM2. The woman who waited on me had to redo the form I had filled out on line, it was changed yesterday. She had to confer constantly with two other workers, then told me I had to go to the bank and pay $1000p on one form, then another $4850p on another. But would not receive my residendcia, maybe in a month if all goes well. She had to fax all the papers to Mexico, something new that started yesterday. I had to wait to go in until my FM2 expired so couldn't go before the new laws set in. |
