Caborca/Altar de Caborca

In planning our trip down next week, we decided the best place to stop is Caborca; however, I ran across a post from Mark (not my Mark) last summer that said: "Do not stop in Altar de Caborca for any reason." Our map has one town called "Caborca" and another town called "Altar."

Does anyone have any concrete information as to why either of these places would be an undesireable stop over?
