Change can be a difficult thing particularly when one is comfortable in one's situation - however - Mexico is slowly changing - I've seen that in the 32 years that I've been coming down here - it is important for a variety of reasons that not only this "change " continue but that we help it and possibly speed it up if we can - I don't think anyone needs to get stressed out or angry about it - tourists and those who can afford to buy or build here may not know better than those who live here - however I think if we really think about it everyone should have access to some basics -- these include an ambulance service and local medical care , quality education for children, and the reason for this thread , some form of local police ( who shouldn't have to sleep on a cement floor looking for handouts ) -- hopefully some positive energy or synergy will create some action that won't be a hardship on anyone but will assist in these basic community needs... |
