I don't disagree at all that some additional form of taxation needs to be employee however, we are skating on thin ice to think that the water collection system will fix all our needs. As a owner of one of the larger homes, I paid the maximum and it did not hurt at all but i full well knew that what I paid for the year is about equal to three months back in Victoria. Having said that, how do we know that additional moneies going to the water system will be properly used. That seems to be the big question, I think it is time to meet with the mayor and ask him what is the best way to deal with additional money that he might have at his disposal? I think without totally getting into local politics, we need to help not control the outcome. We need the community on our side when it comes to improvements. If we decide to fund an ambulance and that does not conflict with anything that another group is doing, so be it however, we don't want to find ourselves working at cross purposes. Right now what I see is a shot gun approach to a wide range of community needs, again, I will ask use to prioritize our needs, set some financial goals and track where we are in fund raising. One of our biggest issues appears to recognizing the needs but not knowing if we are doing anything to achieve them. We need some way of accountibility in our fund raising projects.
