Hola,
Just got back and not totally knowledgeable on what is happening for La Virgin de Guadalupe today in LM, but here is a shot:

There may have been activity last night in the form of student runners carrying a torch, blessed in Melaque, to LM and then a procession to the church. They try to reach LM late in the evening to coincide with the singing of Las Mananitas (a birthday song to the virgin) with musicians in the church.

Tonight there will be a procession starting at 7:00 by the crocodiles with danzas, then mass, music, toritos and castillo, (fireworks display from a wooden tower) The castillo is impressive and the torito is lots of fun with tons people running away from the 'bull' which is shooting fireworks. This takes place in the jardin (center plaza) after 8:00 or 9:00 or who knows when after mass.

I hope this helps some. I've heard it from a couple of sources so I think it is on, especially when it is a very special day for locals here and all of Mexico. Que Viva La Tradicion, Cruz

PS There is lots of activity in Cihuatlan starting at 5 or 6 today, floats, music, etc. Perhaps in Melaque also.
