Wonderful Aztec soup in LaManz Last week we were treated to some very flavorful Aztec soup in the restaurant "Lupita", located on the road into town, on the left. (adjacent to the Casino) She made this for us and a few friends by request, it is not normally on her menu. However, she said she would make it again this next Thurs and would have plenty for anyone else who would like to give it a try. She is a great cook, having spent some years cooking in Tamarindo. The restaurant is a breakfast/lunch place and the soup will be ready by 2 in the afternoon. In case you do not know, the soup is a tomato base served with crispy tortilla strips, topped with avocado, sour cream and cheese. Seriously. great. soup. ....and affordable, it was 50P for a generous bowl. I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone is interested, we will be there for sure! |
