A matter of life or death

I'm sorry to inform you that "Omar" (I don't know his last name) died today after severing a main artery in his leg while working with a chain saw. The EMT tried to get him to the hospital, but couldn't get him there soon enough. I talked with Noami and Vidal a short while ago (they were both in tears) and they told me that they did all that they could. They were frustrated and sad about the fact that they had insufficient equipment and a resonable vehicle in which to transport him. Omar was a good and honest part of this community and he leaves behind his wife Rocio and a young child. My question is.....How much longer do we go on like this? We should have, at least, the minimum that is required for an emergency like this. An ambulance that is equipped with tourniques and other equipment that could save lives. Noami told me that she didn't know wheather they could have saved Omar, but honestly folks, they didn't have a chance!! Vidal's old truck and the lack of equipment gave them no chance at all!!
So....we can just go on, thinking that there will be help when there's an emergency, or we can get serious and see that this community has what it needs.
The Mexican government isn't going to provide for us, that's a fact. If we want to have what we need, at least minimal protection and quick response medical assistance, then we ALL need to pitch in and see that it happens.
We have trained medical people that are willing to do this, so please, help us out, I need money in order to buy an ambulance and see that these folks are funded.
Thanks

Thanks
