Shane: There's about a four month window here where funds can be collected for (I think) some very worthwhile causes. Police and emergency services are important to all of us and, just think, how much nicer it is to live here now that Cisco's Amigos has helped to alleviate the overpopulation of dogs and cats. All of these things cost money, money that the locals don't have and that isn't provided by the government. This is a wonderfully involved community. If you would rather just have a vacation without the hassle of being asked for donations, then you might want check out Club Med!
