Collecting gifts for local teachers

It is once again the time of year when we gather gifts for the teachers and administrators in the La Manzanilla public schools. This has been a tradition for the last 5 years and is a small way to thank our local educators who work very hard all year with the youth of La Manzanilla. We will be compiling 25 gift bags this year to be delivered to our local teachers at the Kinder, primary and secondary schools on Monday, January 7th. If you have small gifts you would like to donate for these small bags, you can drop them off at June Nery’s house (next to the Community Garden)--please indicate that they are for the Teacher Appreciation bags, or contact us la_catalinafoundation@hotmail.com and we can arrange to pick donations up. Items that are typically included in these bags are teacher office supplies (pens, white out, highlighters, dry erase pens, post it notes, small note books, etc.) and personal gift items (candles, soaps, healthy snacks, etc.) Thanks for your participation and helping to make this gift giving program happen every year! http://www.lacatalinafoundation.com |
