9th Cisco's Melaque Clinic

Just finished another Cisco’s Amigos clinic in Melaque/San Patricio and as always it was fantastic. 256 animals were spayed or neutered. Others received help for skin problems, parasites, tumors, abscesses, car accidents, etc. all for free. Our volunteers deserve a huge thank you for endless hours of hard, hot, dirty work picking ticks, cleaning ears, combing knotted hair and giving the much needed love and attention so many of these animals needed to help them get through a pretty scary experience. Many of them had never had a collar(string) on, been on a leash(rope) or in a cage(some bird cages- some sacks) . They all went home with wagging tails finally reunited with their family and especially happy to see their “Boys” after several hours of being very baracho(drunk) . Esmeralda's deserves a huge thank you for providing our Veterinarians with breakfast all 5 days. Concha Del Mar and Maya provided dinners. Gigi’s Bistro delivered wonderful lunches for the volunteers and Villas Camino Del Mar provided very beautiful accommodations. Thank you to all of you for providing this much-needed help. Roosters and Ava’s also gave meals, which will be auctioned off very soon at the next Cisco’s Amigos fundraiser –day and time to be announced at a later date. Dr. Beto Vigil thank you. You came in and helped at a time we really needed help with so many at our doorstep. You helped us get out of there before 9pm. and provided care for those that came for help that we could not provide. Thank you Pro Animal Melaque for taking in an abandoned Pit Bull puppy that needed a place to recover from trauma to the head. The wagging tails and smiling faces makes all the hard work of Cisco’s worthwhile. And thank you all for your continued support. We’ll be doing it again February 15th-19th in La Manzanilla and Melaque/San Patricio in December 2013 . The 10th annual Ciscos’ Amigos Music night will be January 21st in La Manzanilla. Tickets will go on sale very soon. It’s pretty darn fun so save the date. julie
