If you are staying short term -- 1 or 2 weeks, there is a small (12-14 rooms), very clean, comfortable family run hotel on the main street (parallel to beach). It is secured at night and is easy access to everything. I have stayed there and found the rates reasonable. It is called Posada Tonala. There are 2-3 other small family run hotels in town, but, I am not familiar with them. Longer term -- the real estate agencies in town all act as property managers for owners who wish to rent their houses when they are absent. Generally, these are more upscale and expensive.
