I did a bit of work on Scorpions, mostly curious as to whether the color of
the scorpion determines the toxin level of the sting. I got bored before I
found an answer Google search other than this

"You will find that the coloration of the Scorpions depend on where they live.
The goal is for them to be able to blend into their surroundings and to
be as undetected as possible. This is a type of mechanism that has been part
of Scorpion evolution for thousands of years.

In the process I found this stuff.

A forum just for Scorpion's

Searched for sting I didn't have time to read all the post, people who keep
scorpions as pets get stung quite often and are a great resource

Which is more toxic a small scorpion or a large scorpion? "The best predictor of how strong
a scorpion's venom is is not the size of the scorpion but rather the size of their pincers
in relation to their body". Interesting article but not referenced.

Types of scorpions in our area

Centruroides vittatus

Centruroides elegans

Centruroides limpidus

Many of the images repeatedly led me to this site, where you have to pay for the full article.
This one says "In Mexican traditional medicine the plant species Bouvardia ternifolia is used
as remedy to treat patients who have been stung by scorpions. In the preceding study,
the methanol extract from the roots of this plant was capable of reducing the poisonous
effect of Centruroides limpidus limpidus on mice."
