The problem of solar power is that you generate during the day but mainly use it during the night. before you needed large batterie systems to store the energy. since a few years CFE allows to supply energy to the power line during daytime, so your electric meter runs contrary to the usual direction ( today these meters are replaced by digital meters which meassure supply and consumption separately). However, you can't make money with it, you always should have more consumption than supply to the power line. We installed 8 solar panels at our large house in Guadalajara and the electricity bill is now down from 2,400 for two months to about 300 Pesos. Investment was in the range of 9000 USD. However if you stay here in La Manzanilla only for a short time, all this solar panel investment as described above does not make too much sense. Maybe and hopefully I could give some answers to your question. |
