I am curious about something - I know of another young boy, Edwardo, born in La Manzanilla last April who also has a missing femur. It puts me in mind of the thalidomide babies of the 1960's who were born with similar deformities. I wonder if there is a commonality between the two moms.
Also, Edwardo's mom moved from La Manzanilla to Cihuatitlan because the health care providers in that district actually transport the family to Guadalajara to get x-rays, see the specialists, etc. and they don't have to pay for anything. It seems there is a huge difference in government funding between that district and La Huerta.
