Road Report- Puerto Vallarta

We just drove in yesterday via Puerto. Traffic was heavy in town. It took an hour to get across. The newly completed tunnel on the libramiento bypass is very spacey, visually and acoustically, and filled with exhaust fumes. Sort of distopian. On this side of town there are wicked potholes all the way to "Le Kliff" restaurant. I don't see how they're ever going to repair that section. There is also a construction zone from about km 131 to 141. Other than that road conditions were good, and traffic was light.
If I had to do it again, I'd go via Guadalahara.
