Free Dance Class Saturday!

Bending Tree Yoga and Healing Center is excited to offer a free improvisational dance workshop with Olga Gutierrez on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. This type of improvisational dance, also called Contact Dance builds the following: Learn to know our body and listen to its organic impulses, through movement. Become more consciousness of our body: it’s motor and expressive abilities. A greater ability of listening to our body and it’s natural impulses. Learn to move our body from the organic flow of breathing. Understanding how our body expression allows us to generate new experiences, which can give us more security, confidence and emotional support. Olga Gutierrez is a choreographer, contemporary dancer and teacher dedicated to dance and investigation of authentic movement, she works it in it’s creation process as well as in workshops given to dancers, actors and dance and theatre directors in different educational institutions. Currently, she applies her movement investigations to social and community work in Guadalajara.
