Apparently, I've stoked more fire than that for which I intended. As for being "ignorant" or "uninformed", I confess that I am, despite the well meaning, earnest, efforts of my college and law school professors. But I don't think I'm wrong in advocating that gringos have a limited interest in rectifying a situation only Mexicans can overcome. It is their country. Think 1913. (Where is Zapata when you need him?)

My daughter in law is a Mexican national from Juan Gil, near Punta Perula (which makes her son, my grandson, Mexican as well). I would certainly listen to her on this issue. I would also listen to my friend, Ever, whose family was unjustly evicted from Tenacatita.

Until I hear differently from those I know and respect as being legitimate stakeholders on this issue, I'll continue to enjoy the ocean at whatever locale which seems good to me at the time.
