Shane , whoever you are, you are right , David did a great job for a long time.He has been thanked publicly every year and privately ,and will continue to be thanked. And you should know that when he announced that he was stepping back this year, there was just enough time for a team of selfless , energetic, giving members of the gringo community , folks who appreciate how important it is to thank the Mexican community for their hospitality, to work together to make sure the Gringo Appreciation Day of the rodeo goes smoothly as possible. The transition from a word of mouth organization to a delegation of helpers has never been mapped out and so had to be constructed. To call these folks " big shot fundraisers" and "fashionable" and "thankless" is tasteless and ignorant and out of place for someone who has done so little. A big thanks to those who deserve it. You know who you are!!
