I am not a message board kinda spill is all or let's argue on line person. But so many of my friends were so worried, ( and me too until I was out) I will tell you a little. I was in an automobile accident 3 years ago in March. My car was Mex. plated and I had GNP insurance through Banamex. I had Amplia which means, I was fully covered for anything, I was very shaken up and bruised and spent the night in the hospital. left for the U.S. 5 weeks later leaving Leticia as my power of attorney. She was wonderful and worked night and day with what "they" gave her. Finally when I returned in late November it was coming to the end only we had to deal with GNP to get them to pay etc. Now 3 years later it seems the other occupants of the car are suing and were not paid. When the detectives came to my door a month ago I was hauled into the C. office and my lawyer told them he would handle it. As I understand this. It is ALL in Spanish of course. When nothing came of it I was hauled into jail, with only what I had on me going to buy tortillas in the morning. I was held for 8 hours, thank God I talked them out of putting me in a cell. I said I am old, sick, and clustriphobic. I must add. The gun toating policia, really were nice and wanted me to go home too. We became friends about 3 hours. "Tranquill, Sra!!!." They even brought me a pill for my blood pressure which I needed. Letecia again hard at work talked GNP into paying my bail, quite high and I was realeased at 8:30pm. Gracias to all my angles. My bed sure felt good. O.K. moderator, No I kept my anger and temper out of site. Much better that way. note: they had tourist police in Ciuatlan that spoke English and were very kind. It was a blessing to understand.
