Actually the link on that page I gave opens to a pdf file, not sure why I needed to do another link, oh well. Good luck on citizenship. I went to Colima with a friend who was supposed to translate me through the process but left to go do something else. I bumped into a lady there who took me under her wing and walked me through the process. If you can wait till after the gringo’s have left, like a month after, when they are not busy and have had a chance to recover from “the season” I think you will find the going easier. But that was 7 years or so ago I did it and things have changed. Basically they way I see it is if they are having a good day (like Friday) they like you and your a contributor to the spirit of Mexico (a good honest letter of why you want to be a citizen) your well on your way. One blip I had was my FM3 had my first name, middle name, last name and they wanted it last name, middle name first name (or reversed of that), so I had to go 1,000 miles an hour to Imigracion in Manzanillo. I just butt in line, Rita and Elba got me a new FM3 in like 30 minutes (great ladies they are) and I jammed back to Colima in time to get it done. My old car was a huffin and a puffin after that but she held together and its a good memory, unreal day.
