Hi, If you're going to join a Billion Rising, here's the dance steps that are being practiced. Men can join in too. I also want to mention that this is part of the Idle No More movement which effects people worldwide. Its a demand for protection of air, water and land fir future generations. Native People and environmentalists have joined forces to end the injustice and destruction. Native women in Canada are bearing the brunt of the damage of generations of racism, apartheid and genocide. Mexican women, especially those who are outraged by the illegal occupation of Tenacatita, might be interested in the benefits of education, empowerment and a network of allies. Regardless of whether you want to learn the 'steps', I hope you will join us on Feb. 14th to win the hearts and minds of people in a worldwide social movement for justice. This is all about human rights and protection of the environment for future generations. Please videotape your efforts and Idle No More. Wish I were there enjoying the sun, the beach and the wonderful and generous community of La Manz. The grey days usually drive me crazy but this year I am too busy to notice. |
