| If you don't find the salad spinner of your dreams you might try this, I do. Lay your greens out on a clean dish towel along the length in the center. Then, roll up the towel with greens inside so it looks like a great big honkin' um, uhh, a burrito with twisted ends. Holding the ends, with the hands and arms apart, start spinning the towel as if you were holding both ends of a jump rope, one end in each hand. The faster you go the more water is thrown out by centrifugal force. You probably already have the dish towel and you can avoid having one more piece of plastic in your kitchen. Make sure that the burrito like thang has good overlap on the towel so that you do not end up with salad all over your face. |
