I just had one today in Manzanillo. It was 3200 p and there was very little pain. I did communicate any pain I felt with charming grunts and bugged out eyes. Afterwards, and I'm about 6 hours in, I have pain on that side, but I have penicillin and some pain killers and I'm hoping for the best. Oh, and ice...ice helps a great deal!

I did go to the local dentist but he didn't have time to even investigate it until Wednesday and the pain that resulted in the root canal was not going to be bearable until Wed. so I went to Dr. Woo who referred me to the dentist in Manzanaillo. She speaks a little english and was very good.

I still have a return trip to make to finish it and then something has to be done to the crown but I was too tired to try to figure that out.

However, compared to the Canadian dental system, we figured we've saved a couple of thousand dollars and emergency dental is covered by our travel insurance. In the long run, this will all be worth it.
