The following painting classes are being offered in March. MAKE YOUR ACRYLICS SING! Fill your paintings with glowing, transparent darks and luscious opaque lights. Discover how to create luminous landscapes using acrylics in this series of four half-day classes with respected artist Gail Sibley. Learn the ins and outs of acrylic paint and then explore the magic that happens when you combine transparent and opaque paints. You’ll also learn ways to develop more exciting and dynamic compositions using Gail’s 3-value technique as well as many other tips along the way. These classes will include demonstration of techniques, individual attention and lots of practical application. Expect to have fun, challenge yourself, and develop new ways of painting and seeing! Gail, is a full-time artist and well received art instructor from Saltspring Island, B.C. who comes to La Manzanilla in winter to paint, dance tango, and experience the Mexican way of life. She has participated in national and international shows and her work is in private and corporate collections in several countries.
