I agree it's getting chilly! Yesterday (Monday) morning my temp got down to 64.6F. But THIS morning it got down to 62.8F. A new low for this season! My thermometer is outside, but somewhat surrounded by masonry walls and protected from that chilly breeze that flows down the arroyo at night. That's why mine never gets as cold as some others. Hopefully it doesn't get as cold as two winters ago. Back then Donna and I had to plug in a small space heater in the mornings to huddle around. Our house is shaded by a tall apartment to our south, so all our masonry just soaks up the cold day after day. We get full shade in the winter and full sun in the summer, lucky us! And it's odd that this cooldown happened just two days after the warmest day this winter: 87.4F on Saturday. We're getting some fairly quick temperature and humidity swings this month. Nothing much on the weather sites to explain it except the Mexican forecast agency mentions a trough pushing south along the Sierra Madre mountains of western Mexico, interacting with the jet stream flowing in from the Pacific, leading to lower temps and slight chances of precip (mostly inland) for the next few days http://smn.cna.gob.mx/boletin/discusion/discusion.html
