chirping? In the spring time around early mornings and in the late evenings birds sing more because sound travels further. This is for mating purposes so as call for a mate... Later on the bird noises will slow because they find what they where singing for.... Or, if ALL the birds take flight get out of town because something is coming i.e. very bad....
