The link in Sparks' post is for Dish Mexico: different satellite, different programming, much cheaper than Dish Network in the US. It's mostly US shows and movies and some sports, all dubbed into Spanish, with 2 or 3 channels in English. The basic package costs about US$12/mo. including IVA (tax). It can be bundled into your TelMex bill for no extra charge, if you want. They use the smaller red rooftop dishes that you might see here and there around town, not the more-numerous sky-blue VeTV (by SKY) dishes. We've had Dish for a year and a half; it's well worth the price, especially if you don't mind watching some shows in Spanish. As long as you don't have a tall building or thick trees immediately to your southeast you should be able to see the Dish Mexico satellite, which isn't super high above the horizon from our location. But it's higher than the SKY satellite at least. |
