I was walking your beach yesterday, visiting from Barra when confronted by these same dogs. I was alone and on a lonely stretch well past town not far from the old hotel. It was unnerving to say the least. Yes, I was afraid and on high alert, prepared to swim into the ocean and hope for the best. I have seen pack dogs in action. Fortunately, the two cops on motorbikes arrived shortly after, distracting the trio. They asked me if I knew the owners. Of course I did not, but suggested they find out, fast. Cheryl, I am sorry to hear about your dog and hope that it recovers quickly. I am a dog owner and hate to see any put down but I could sense the danger and sometimes that is the only answer. The owners need their butts kicked as well!
