My friends and I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Hortensia's shell house the other day, and then having Hortensia guide us to the waterfall and pools. What an amazing day all around. The house is a wonder--all those thickly encrusted shells! The walk to the pools from there was easy, and Hortensia is a font of knowledge about local flora and fauna. She is a very gracious guide. If you haven't gone yet, and you still have time, I recommend it. It feels marvelous to submerge yourself in that cool, clear water! The easiest way to arrange a guided tour is through Cruz.
