Final amount raised in auctions thanks to all!!!

It was another great “Night under the Stars” auction and party, held on February 23rd. Thanks to the tremendous support of local businesses and individuals who donated items and services and our dedicated staff and volunteers, we raised a record breaking 91,527 pesos between the auction online and the silent auction and party in the plaza!!! How will these funds be used??? Fifty percent went into finishing the second classroom at La Catalina Foundation (behind the kinder) see photos below. This included, laying a floor, putting in windows and a door, wiring the classroom, painting the walls, installing lights and fans, and building steps. This classroom is ready to use and we look forward to opening it up for use after Semana Santa vacation. Twenty-five percent will be presented to the three schools for educational projects, including purchasing didactic material for the classrooms and making facility improvements and the remaining 25% will go towards free educational programs offered through the foundation.
