Several foreigners owned land in the palmar in Tenacatita via bank trusts (fidecomisos). Not only did the bank do nothing to help anyone, they're still trying to charge people the yearly fee, even though they have no access to their land.So is it really worth the money?

I think one possible reason for the potential change in Article 27 of the constitution, which will allow foreigners to own title in their name, if it's for a house, is so the government gets the money instead of the bank.

From what I've read, that change won't apply to commercial development or agricultural land.
