I have always wondered the same thing and we have lived in La M for 15 years. I never use anything but water in the states to rinse fruits and veggies but assiduously use a disinfectant in Mexico. I almost feel guilty only using water whenever I buy produce from Mexico here in NC. Makes one want to stop using it in Mexico.....almost. Who wants to be the first to try it?
