TS Dalila - TS Warning

Now it's called Tropical Storm Dalila, still on the previous track to pass by offshore of La Manz. Closest approach Monday night. It is supposed to stay at TS strength the whole time. Very likely to bring at least some rain to La Manz, possibly heavy rains. Some winds are possible, but nothing like Jova back in 2011.

La Manz is now under a Tropical Storm Warning (http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/ep201304.public.html):

a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for...
* the southwest coast of Mexico from Punta San Telmo to la Fortuna (LA MANZ IS WITHIN THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THIS ZONE)

a tropical storm watch is in effect for...
* the southwest coast of Mexico from north of la Fortuna to Cabo
Corrientes

a Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are
expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.

A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions are.
Possible within the watch area...generally within 48 hours.



Hazards affecting land

wind...tropical storm conditions are expected to first reach the coast within the warning area early Monday. Tropical storm conditions are possible in the watch area by late Monday.

Rainfall...Dalila is expected to produce total rain accumulations of 1 to 3 inches over coastal portions of the Mexican states of michoacan...Colima...and Jalisco.

I might not be able to keep you updated frequently; you should use these links and whatever other public safety sources you can to stay advised. You might want to prepare your property now in case conditions deteriorate more quickly or more severely than predicted.

One thing's for sure, the weather sure is more "interesting" in the summer!
