Apparently, this is inaccurate information that was picked up from a blog post. I simply do not understand why the Canadian (maybe all) papers fail to do any independent investigation, such as the obvious...call the Canadian embassy or consulate...oh well, what else is new in reports of Mexican affairs? This kind of reportage is so hurtful to family members -- who then have to relive everything as the do the investigation that the paper should have done in the first place.
