Before leaving Mx, I go to CFE office in Cihautlan. There is an automated machine in the "lobby", I scan the bar code on my CFE bill, then feed as many required pesoes into the machine to cover the summer bills and then the machine prints a receipt of my credit. No worries about payment and power getting turned off.
