Summer Program News!

It was a great 3-week summer program for La Manzanilla kids! Thirty two kids, ages 6 -12, came out to learn English, develop their artistic abilities and play cooperative games. The three themes for this summer’s program were: getting in touch with feelings/emotions, science and the environment. Thank you to La Manzanilla Ejido and the new Tortilleria for sponsoring 2 of their 3 swim trips. Also, thanks to our amazing team of teachers, Gardenia, Maestra Lorena and Mari Mar for their great work along with 24 of the scholarship students who helped out as volunteers. This program was a highly subsidized program funded by parent contributions, funds raised in “A Night under the Stars Auction”, donated supplies and contributions from Gabriela de la Vega.
